I am… privileged.

Jesus
Meets me as I am
Becoming a mongoose too
To lead us on a hunt

I see Jesus.

He is in a field
Full of snakes

I salivate.

For snakes
Are my favorite food

But I worry
That Jesus
Isn’t mongoose enough
To feel the same

Jesus chitters with laughter.

He dashes ahead
And joyfully crunches
A snake between His teeth
As He mumbles:

“Did you not know
That everything you are
And enjoy…”

“Is only a portion of Me?”
