The point of marriage, it seems to me
Is that we mirror the Trinity
A joyous Union that brings life
Embodied in husband and wife
Yet more than that, the partnership
Reveals a divine authorship
For the roles of father, mother
Lay their lives down for another
Just as Christ died, so that we
May flourish as His progeny
Let us not stay infants then
But grow into women and men
Who hold the tension known as love
That points the world to God above
