Lord I’m seldom grateful, in spite of all you’ve done.

Focused on my problems, I’m always on the run

Lord I want to be the man that I was meant to be

F G F G C C7

For I know that gratefulness is what can set me free

Chorus: F G C Am

Lord, I thank you for your mercy, I thank you for your love

   F G C Am

I thank you for the daily bread that you send from above

   F G Em Am Am7

Thank you for the work I do each day beneath the sun

   F G F G C C7

And thank you most for Jesus, for giving me your Son

   F G F G C

Thank you most for Jesus, for giving me your Son

Lord, I really love my job, a gift sent straight from you

Stretching all my faculties, my personal skills too

Thank you for the place I dwell, and for the car I drive

For travellin’ on the freeways, and keeping me alive [Chorus]

Thank you for the family, and those who know me there

Brothers who encourage me, and sisters who do care

A place where I can minister, and sing your boundless praise

Sit beneath your healing word, and feel your awesome gaze [Chorus]

Lord I’m still not perfect, that you know more than I

I fail you in so many ways not matter how I try

But each time you forgive me, Lord, by your amazing grace

Giving me encouragement, to finish up the race [Chorus]

Final Chorus:

C7 F G C Am

Thank you for your Body, thank you for your Blood

   F G C Am

Thank you for the Living Bread that you sent from above

   F G Em Am Am7

Thank you for the life I live each day beneath the sun

F G F G C C7

And most of all for Jesus, for giving me your Son

F G F Dm G G7 C F C

For sacrificing Jesus…and making me your Son
