Held In Scripture (Hosting Ignatian Spirituality)
Continued from As A High Shelter
I see Jesus.
He is… singing.
Leading the resurrected
In a song of lament
For me
Not just their grief
At my passing
Or their mourning
Over the harm
I had caused
But also
Empathy
At the price I paid
And sadness
For their harshness
Towards me
I see myself.
I am… fading away.
My spirit
Ascending to the heavens
My body
Disappearing into dust
The tree
Of my sacrifice…
Withers away.
No longer needed
To hold up the bridge
For others
Have made their own sacrifices
In remembrance of Him
While forgetting mine
I see My Father.
He stretches open the heavens
To receive my soul
Saying:
“Take a seat
And watch
You won’t want to miss…”
“How the story ends!”
To be concluded

Scripture
“Awake, O my soul, with the music of his splendor-song! Arise, my soul, and sing his praises!
Psalms 57:8-10 TPT
My worship will awaken the dawn, greeting the daybreak with my songs of praise!
Wherever I go, I will thank you, my God. Among all the nations they will hear my praise songs to you.
Your love is so extravagant it reaches to the heavens; your faithfulness so astonishing it stretches to the sky!”
