I see Jesus.

He is… entombed.

Many
Of His faithful followers
Guard the place
Of His remains

But not me

I see myself.

I am
Following His soul
Into the underworld

By letting go
Of my allegiance
To the flesh
To the world
To the devil

I understand now.

That Jesus
Deliberately
Set Himself up
To be killed
By the kings of this world

To buy passage
Inside the gates
Of the king
Of the underworld

And that my job
Was not to stop Him…

But follow Him!

• Letting go of my need to protect Him
• Letting go of my need to protect myself
• Letting go of control
• Trusting His Spirit to guide me
• Losing hope in order to find it
