Poem: Son, Net

A distant sequel to RohAnjali Respect Prayer

For My Son Joshua Rohan Prabhakar
On The Day He Started College

On the day that you were born
That was when my childhood died
For the love you birthed inside
Was the breaking of new morn

A father is what I became
When childhood entered to my life
Though sleepless nights engendered strife
Reward was passing on my name

Now to the sky you fly alone
Chasing dreams of song and stage
Making marks upon the world

Yet this will always be your home
Regardless of the cost or age
Our arms around you ever curled
