I am… watching.

The poor
The needy
The desperate

Turn on each other
In their scarcity

Or curse the rich
Rather
Than crying out to God
To save them

I listen to the Spirit.

He says:

“Do not judge them
For hiding behind
Their powerlessness
The way you hid
Behind your power”

He opens my eyes.

I see
Their hearts

Hidden
Even from themselves

Fighting desperately
To be heard

As the Spirit says:

“Now is the time…”

“To set them free!”
