I realize
My grandfather’s rigidity
Was the very thing
God had called him to do

So that I could do
The things
God called me to do

Including
Everything we do wrong
To invite future generations
Into Your ocean of grace

I look to My Father.

He opens
His book of remembrance

I see
The tears He shed
For the price I would pay

For all
Who paid the price
For me
To become me

I worship the Father.

He says:

“Everything
That happened to you

“Including
What you did to yourself

“Was so
You could discover…

“I AM on your side!”
