I am… living alone in darkness.

But I do not care

Because I have my
Precious
Understanding

Until…

A small lamb arrives.

He asks me a riddle
I cannot answer

Stealing away
My understanding

He invites me to follow.

I refuse

Knowing
That if I return
To those I betrayed
They will kill me

Or
I will kill myself
From shame
At having to face
Everything I did

For the sake
Of my
Precious
Understanding

But then
Something stirs
In the darkness
So…

I listen to the Spirit.

He says:

“Arise
And do not fear
Those who can only kill
The body

“For they too
Have betrayed you
For the sake of their own
Precious
Understanding

“And if you approach them
Without yours
But with Me
You will discover…”

“The infinite powers of powerlessness!”
