Spilling my grandfather and I out
As twins

The fountains of the deep
Cover the earth with grace
As the waters cover the sea

I look for Jesus.

He says to us:

“Son, behold your father
Father, behold your son”

Jesus speaks to me.

He says:

“Your pa is not always right
But honoring him
Will force you
To find Me

“Only I
Can overrule him safely
Because I have paid that price”

Jesus speaks to My Grandfather.

He says:

“Your job
Is no longer
To control this child

“But to understand him
So he can understand himself
So he can understand Me
