11/1 Poem: Bridegroom-Redeemer

Standard

When I am facing my doom
I need a redeeming bridegroom
Not just a freer of slaves
But a true lover who saves

For not just my health or my purse
Or simply to postpone the hearse
Did Jesus descend to the earth
But rather, to give love a berth

For my Savior’s ultimate goal
Is sharing my heart and my soul
In fruitful connubial bliss
Is any fate greater than this?

Ruth 2:20 Then Naomi said to her daughter-in-law, “May he be blessed by the LORD, who has not withdrawn His kindness from the living or the dead.” Naomi continued, “The man is a close relative. He is one of our kinsman-redeemers.”
