The universe is a display
Of God’s redeeming glory

Sometimes it is obvious
In the stars and the trees

Sometimes it is so intricate
It appears to be absent
In death, war, and suffering

Spiritual maturity
Is developing the taste
To appreciate
The complex flavors
Of God’s redemption

And not being content
With the sweet desserts
Of His gentleness
