Radically Happy

Unless you break My body / 
And pour out My blood / 
This city / 
Will never be rebuilt…

It is broken / Ruined / Worthless // Like me…

I look at Him / 
Like he is insane / 
Because that’s how he sounds…

If I fall / I will tumble for hundreds of yards // Even if I survive / I will be badly broken / With nobody around to help me…

Just because they are flooded / 
Doesn’t mean / 
You must be flooded…

Away / 
From Him / 
Who said He loved me / 
But I no longer trust…

With Anger and Envy / 
My remaining children / 
My only companions…

Out of all the children I bore / Only Anger and Envy stay with me // Laughing / Mocking / I am helpless / As they carry me away / To God knows where…

Tiny children… or small humans? / Explode outward from me / And start running around…

My belly expands / 
Something / 
Grows within me…

I am… giving birth. / Though I am not married / Or even pregnant…

We won / But at great cost // How will I be measured…

I could only / 
Play my part / 
By forgetting / 
Father’s heart…

I see His hands. // They hold me / Mold me / Define me / Deliver me…

I cannot speak their language / But it does not matter / For I have nothing to say / In my defense // Though I am innocent in Spirit / I am guilty by letter of Law…

They warn me / 
Of the fate / 
That awaits / 
Past the gate…
