Continued from Heart Began To Fill Again

I am… frustrated.

The trees
Were supposed to be simple
Mindless creatures

But once I taught them to move
They had to model reality
To predict their next steps
And balance conflicting goals

Which created uncertainty
And fear
And hiding
And self-deception
And conflict

I look to My Father.

He laughs at me
And says:

“It is ever thus
With all children
As they grow up

“Even
Perhaps especially
Mine”

He grows stern.

“That is why
It is of utmost importance
That you teach them to worship
With a new song

“Because words
Are not enough…”

“They need harmony!”
