Folly

By appearances

I look for Jesus.

He does not
Protect me
From the breaking

He is
Present
In the breaking
I had spent my life avoiding

And as I yield
My life for His…

Christ is lifted up!

For the deeper we hide
The higher He rises
When we stop
Fighting the cross

And when He
Is lifted up
He draws everyone…

Out of their depths!
