Into the very rock

Of My Father
And my family

It is glorious.

Despite

The heat and pressure

They have produced
The most marvelous jewels

I look to My Father.

He points
To a blood-red ruby
And says:

“The only way
Your family will let you
Wash their feet
Is if you…”

“Share your treasure!”
