Continued from Stand Before Kings

I am… first.

Not in power
Or prestige

The first one out.

Into the wilderness
Beyond the walls
My family hides behind

Because everyone else
Who dared to leave
Never returned

I look to My Father.

He says:

“I AM God
Of all creation
And nowhere
Is too far
For My love to reach you”

I cry out.

“Then why are so many
Of even those who know you
Cut off from your redeeming love?”

My Father chuckles.

He points
To a cave
That leads
To the foundations of the earth
And says:

“Because My love
Refuses to stand still
And the only way
To stay in one place…”

“Is to keep moving deeper!”
