  • Discovering the truth
  • That sets us all free

  • Through anxiety

Yahweh Approach Memo

Concluding from Gathering

I am… uncrowned.

At least for now

I though I would be crowned
Ruler of the reunited heart/city
Using the diamond forged
From the charcoal blackness inside me

And maybe I will be
But not yet

I look to My Father.

He is not carrying
A golden crown
But a steel helm

My heart sinks

I am not to be
A peacetime king
Issuing decrees
From a luxurious court
With family and friends

But a warrior prince
Fighting for My Father
On lonely battlefields

My Father looks to me.

The helm is upside down
Filled with ruby liquid

He says

“Will you drink the cup
I offered to my Son?”

I look to Jesus.

He is right beside me
He always was
He always will be

The question is:

Do I want to be with Him?

Jesus smiles.

He says:

“Drink this cup
And you will always be
My right-hand man
Except
When you are left”

I cannot speak
I cannot think
But I grab His hand

Together we drink.

And then I realize
I am not a prince
But a princess

I am not alone
I never was
I never will be

This battle
Is not an exile
But our honeymoon

The diamond
Was not for a crown
But for my engagement

My family
Is wherever He is
My friends
Are those we rescue
From the empty chaos
To fight beside us

My home
My heart
Is wherever I drink a cup
With my Beloved
No matter how bitter

My kingdom
Is not of this world
Or of the heavens
Or under the earth
Though it connects to all of them

It is in the arms of my Prince

The End

Reflection

I feel…

  • Married
  • Redeemed
  • Rescued
  • Grateful
  • Excited
  • Unalone

Scripture

“Consult together, argue your case. Get together and decide what to say. Who made these things known so long ago? What idol ever told you they would happen? Was it not I, the Lord? For there is no other God but me, a righteous God and Savior. There is none but me.”‭‭

Isaiah‬ ‭45‬:‭21‬ ‭NLT‬‬
