12/25 Christmas Poem: Seeking God, The

Standard

We serve a God who seeks
Amidst the milds and meeks
Those of a humble heart
Where grace can have its start

He seeks them by the dozen
(Including from His cousin)
Men willing to face strife
To drink eternal life

On crosses they are sought
With precious blood He bought
Those with no gift to bring
Except their “everything

We are His noble quest
His heart will not find rest
Till all the earth be blest
Like Mary and her nest

The past… was traumatic
The future… is uncertain
The present… is Jesus

Merry Christmas!
