Isaiah 42:6-7 NIV – “I, the LORD, have called you…7 to open eyes that are blind

The reason the truth we avoid
Is we can’t see God unalloyed
His glory’s too big
For leaves of a fig
To save us from being destroyed

So God chose a different path
To save us poor children of wrath
It may sound too glib
But only a crib
Could work out the heavenly math

That’s why all the world celebrates
How God with us participates
He made Himself small
So we could stand tall
And walk with Him through pearly gates

But even that is not the end
For those of us who call Christ friend
If I show to you
How Christ loved me too
Together, the whole earth we mend
