Our adoption as Sons of God
Is a process
Of learning
And letting go

At first
We are a Guest
There to enjoy
A respite from the world

Then we are a Child
No better than a slave
Under authority
And thus lacking
Responsibility

Then we become Human
Owning our own vision
Making our choices
Accepting the consequences

Finally we are Heirs
Inheriting His Kingdom
Surrendering ours
To bring His on earth
