The Holiest Hunger is
The Hunger for Holiness

There are many ways
To Hunger for God
All of them good
Most of them tainted

We can Hunger
for His blessings
Then stuff ourselves
and forget Him

We can Hunger
for His presence
Yet dreams of heaven
cost us His earth

We can Hunger
for His kingdom
Then try to build it
without Him

We can Hunger
for His power
To be like God
not worship One

The only Hunger
I have found
That never leads
to Satan’s door

Is the Hunger
to be His
Wholly His
and nothing more
