This week on The Great Reset our Biasta Janet leads the Biastes through an exercise in Christlike Relational Roleplay.
Question: How do we shift the focus of the Body of Christ from “getting fed” to “getting fit” (to represent Jesus)?

Perspective: By redefining spiritual maturity in terms of “closeness to Jesus” rather than “knowing the right answers.” Which implies training members of His body to connect directly to the Head, rather than just consume our services.
Teachers are one of the five main gifts Christ gave His church, but sometimes I wonder whether they have been:
- Overemphasized and professionalized to the point of coopting the other gifts
- Coopted by the Greek ideal of “rhetorical discourse,” versus the Hebraic understanding of “transferring transformational truth.”

Now these are the gifts Christ gave to the church: the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, and the pastors and teachers. Their responsibility is to equip God’s people to do his work and build up the church, the body of Christ. This will continue until we all come to such unity in our faith and knowledge of God’s Son that we will be mature in the Lord, measuring up to the full and complete standard of Christ.
Ephesians 4:11-13
And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. Teach the truth so that your teaching can’t be criticized. Then those who oppose us will be ashamed and have nothing bad to say about us.
Titus 2:7-8
