With Jesus’ help
I have reached the top
Of the Mountain of God
To receive My Father’s surprise

It…
She…
Is more beautiful
And more impossible
Than I could have imagined

I look at her.

Frozen in time
Inverted in space

Another dimension
Visible from the mountaintop
Close enough to touch
Almost
But impossible to reach

Negative space
Yin to my yang
Light to dark
Soft to hard
Curved to straight

My mouth goes dry
My body pulses
I would give anything
To cross the uncrossable chasm

I look to My Father.

Awe
And questions
War within me

He smiles

“There is a way
To cross”

My heart leaps
But His face grows somber

“The only way
Is a cross”

I look to Jesus.

He is lifting up a cross
His cross
As a bridge between our worlds

My eyes are opened
My ears are unstopped

I suddenly realize
She is in the real world
I am the one
Frozen in time
Inverted in space

To gain her
I must lose my whole world

I want her
I think I love her
But is it enough?

Jesus looks to me.

His face
Is radiant
With infinite compassion
Infinite sadness
Infinite joy

He whispers

“That
Is where I am going
That
Is where I went
To claim you”

I look to my heart.

And realize
It is already there
With her
With Jesus
With reality

I choose
To follow my heart
And take up the cross
