Radically Happy

I see His hands. // They hold me / Mold me / Define me / Deliver me…

I cannot speak their language / But it does not matter / For I have nothing to say / In my defense // Though I am innocent in Spirit / I am guilty by letter of Law…

They warn me / 
Of the fate / 
That awaits / 
Past the gate…

We are no longer / 
A tribe / 
We have become / 
A family…

Yet I feel emotions / 
Too deep for a first encounter / 
And they / 
Recognize and trust me…

They seem to love Jesus / But forget He is alive // They must be key / To reaching the city for Jesus…

I found the carcass of a lion / Where bees had built a hive // They stung me / When I stole their honey // My face swelled up / Monstrously / From an allergic reaction…

The city I escaped / Looms behind me / But I do not fear it // The angel who rescued me / Told me to follow my heart / But I know not what that means…

How / 
Can I set them free / 
When they have imprisoned me?

I see a city / Seemingly under siege // Yet I see no enemy / No signs of battle / No threat…

There is no food / 
No water to drink / 
And no land in sight…

But where am I bound? / How will I get there?

I look at my hands / My right one says: > “Remember Jesus / > Tell them He lives” I feel a painful urgency / And strange elation…

The stone cell / 
Where I woke with amnesia / 
Was actually protection / 
Not imprisonment…

In a stone cell / Cold and alone // I don’t know where I am / Why I am here / Or even… who I am…

I am… a blade of grass. // One in an octillian / Small / Anonymous / Insignificant / Doomed to die…
