I am… growing up.

I don’t know
How long I spend with this tribe
My mind
Is a blank slate each day

Yet I feel emotions
Too deep for a first encounter
And they
Recognize and trust me

The house I wake in
Feels familiar and well-used

I look for Jesus.

I open my scroll
I read:

If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!

I shoot out the door

Instinctively
I make a noise
That calls the tribe to me

I know they know Jesus
But I had forgotten
They did not know the Spirit

It is time
To light the fire

Then everything will change
