Today’s Most Important Challenge is…
- Facing the truth
- About the lies I tell myself
Spirit Approach Memo
Continued from Expecting Your Breakthrough
I am… freed.
I realize
The reason
My songs drift out of tune
Is that someone
Once told me
They weren’t good enough
And so
The very same passion
That drove my craft
Was fueled by the shame
That now undermines it
I listen to the Spirit.
He says:
“The cure for shame
Is not avoiding it
By denial
Or compliance“But experiencing it
As glory
By…”
“Joining your life to Christ!”
To be continued
Reflection
I feel…
- Wretched
- Forgiven
- Hollow
- Invited
Scripture
“Lord! I’m bursting with joy over what you’ve done for me! My lips are full of perpetual praise. I’m boasting of you and all your works, so let all who are discouraged take heart.
Psalms 34:1-5 TPT
Join me, everyone! Let’s praise the Lord together. Let’s make him famous! Let’s make his name glorious to all.
Listen to my testimony: I cried to God in my distress and he answered me. He freed me from all my fears! Gaze upon him, join your life with his, and joy will come. Your faces will glisten with glory. You’ll never wear that shame-face again.”
