The attunement
With nature
God
Ourselves

That we sacrificed.

To create surplus
Build cities
Tame savagery
Take control

I look to My Father.

He says:

“I did not condemn Cain
Neither do I condemn you

“For doing
What had to be done
To take dominion
Over the earth
As I commanded”

He draws a boundary.

And says:

“No longer
Will you need
To build walls
Hedges
Borders
To protect what is sacred”

The boundary everts.

Forming a Klein bottle
Where inside
And outside
Swap places

He raises a cross.

At the very center
Of reality
Of my identity
Of our community

And says:

“This alone…”

“Is what will save you!”
