I am… snatching up souls.

The long-entombed dead
Are finally waking up

I am running around
Like a video game
Trying to recruit them
Into fellow snatchers

Before
They fall back
Into their graves

I see Jesus.

He
Is not hurried

He
Is sitting down
With a flute

He hands me a harp.

He grins
And says:

“If you wish
To catch souls
All you have to do is…”

“Play!”
