Following Jesus
We burst
Through the surface
Of this world’s
Thin protection

Bringing
Not fiery destruction
But valuable ore
Laden with precious metals
And hidden jewels

I look to My Father.

He says:

“Don’t waste your time
Collecting rocks

“Let others
Do the tedious work
Of refining wealth

“Your job is…”
