I see Jesus.

He is… chopping.

Tearing down
The trees of life

Removing
The dead stumps

Leveling
The rough ground

I see myself.

I am firewood.

Having cast my fruit
I am no longer fit
For anything

But to be bundled up
And cast into the flames

Jesus comes to me.

He does not
Take me away

He comes
With me
Into the furnace

Saying:

“Fear not
This is how…”

“We burn down hell!”
