With all His holy ones
Despite the darkness

No.

Not “despite”

Because
The darkness
Frees us
From trusting in what we can see

Rather than the deeper reality
Which is unseen

I listen to the Spirit.

He says:

Is the miracle
Which the world
Cannot understand

“Deep
Unconquerable
Subterranean joy

“When all
Earthly reason
And senses
Imply the opposite

“Do this…”

“And they will come!”
