I am… expiring.

All my breath
Ambition
Intellect
Holiness

Flows out of me.

I drop the cup
I am holding

And I sink
To the bottom
Of the cup
That is holding me

Too far
For anyone but Jesus
To reach me

I look for Jesus.

He is not
In the cup

He is
The cup

The whole universe
Is a series of cups
All of them Jesus

All of them
Holding me

Jesus looks to me.

He says:

“Now
That you
Have reached
Rock bottom
The time has come…”

“To empty the cup!”
