I am… monstrous.

My old bones
Have joined with the dead ones
From the battlefield of my youth

I feel trapped
Caught
Enmeshed

My breathing grows shallow
My head is spinning
My gorge rises

I look to My Father.

He breathes on me
I receive His breath
My breathing slows

My perspective shifts.

I am not trapped
I am connected

I am not enmeshed
I am empowered

While it is true
I cannot do
Whatever I want
I no longer need to

Instead
WE will do
Whatever He wants

He breathes again.

We see a dove
Coming down from heaven
Floating in front of us
Urging us forward

We rise together.

Set our feet upon the path
And begin to run…
