I am… old.

Walking with a cane
I limp through a battlefield
I had fought for
And won
Many years before

I look to My Father.

His face is somber
As befits the context
But His voice
Carries a note
Of amusement
As He says:

“Son of man…”

“Can these old bones live again?”

    I do not understand how everyone is sleeping on your posts. I find them to be quite deep, reflective and beautiful. Bravo

      One of my mentors is Gordon Dalbey, a pioneer of the men’s movement and inner healing that almost nobody knows about. He had that same conversation with God, who said: “I am protecting you.”

      I believe God has kept me obscure because I wasn’t healthy enough to handle the spiritual warfare and pressure that comes with visibility. In all honesty, I often take comfort in my obscurity when sharing a particularly vulnerable piece.

      But the time is coming — and may already be here! — when that is about to change. And you get credit for calling it 🙂
