I am… driving across the waves.

Pulled by dolphins
In a chariot of seashells
Wielding Poseidon’s trident

I feel ridiculous

I appreciate
Not having to walk
On the sea of emotion
With my inexperienced feet

But how will this
Help me win a crown
When I don’t even know where I’m going

I listen for the Spirit.

He says:

“Some trusts in chariots
Some in horses
But you must trust
In the name of your God”

Uh, sure
But which of His names
Should I trust in?

The Spirit says:

“The One
Who answers
When you call”

Suddenly I see.

I have been reacting
To circumstances
And opportunities
Without bothering
To ask Him why
Or what He wants from me

I cry out to the Father

“What do you want from me?”

He replies:

“Go deeper!”
