Spirit Approach Memo
Continued from Courage
I am… tenderfoot.
I don’t remember a time
When I wasn’t hiding
Behind the wheel of my car
Always in the driver seat
Never on foot
I’m not even sure
I know how to walk
Much less on water
I don’t even have any shoes
I listen for the Spirit.
He says:
“Exchange your nakedness
For army boots
That were made for peace
Instead of war”
I look inside.
I see that my fellow servant
Now walking on water
Had left boots behind
On the passenger side
I try them on.
They fit perfectly
Which means
They were meant for me
I was meant for this
I unbuckle my safety belt
Step out of my comfort zone…
And walk on the water.
To be continued?
Reflection
I feel…
- Cowardly
- Ashamed
- Unprepared
- Overly sensitive
- Well-equipped
- Convicted
- Taken care of
- Graced
Scripture
“After the circumcision was completed, the whole nation waited in the camp until their wounds had healed. Then Yahweh said to Joshua, “Today, I have rolled away your disgrace from being slaves in Egypt.” For that reason, the place is named Gilgal to this day.”
Joshua 5:8-9 TPT
