I am… stepping out of my boat.

I walk on the water
Near the shore
Until I reach dry land

I look back.

A pillar of fire
Falls from heaven
And consumes the boat

There is no going back

I look ahead.

The land is fertile
But uncultivated
Wild and dangerous
Yet rich with potential

I look for Jesus.

He is present
In every inhabitant
Of this strange new world

But they don’t know it
And I can’t see it…
