Radically Happy

O Lord
Hear my cry
For I put my trust in you

I refuse to trust
In my own strength
Or wisdom

I seek to obey
And speak truth
And walk blamelessly

But I know
My righteousness
Is as filthy as rags
In Your sight

My only hope
Is the cross of Christ
Obeying your Spirit
Seeking your face

Repenting of sins
Humbling myself
Fasting and praying
Waiting on you

O Lord
You know
How those who were jealous
Mocked me
Poisoned me
Condemned me
Persecuted me

Those I loved
In whom I trusted
Rejected me
Because I put my faith in you
Rather than
The things of this world

Lord
I do not deserve
Anything
On my own

Even my obedience
Is tainted by pride
And my faith
With arrogance

But
For the sake of Your name
And the glory of the cross
I cry out
For you to earn
A victory
By your strong arm

May all the scoffers
Be silenced
As you prove
You alone
Are worthy of our trust
Our praise
Our worship

You alone
Can save
You alone
Can bring prosperity
Without regrets

You alone
Are my hope

I submit this
In the name of Christ
My only righteousness
