I am… thinking.

The tribe that adopted me
Thinks me special
Due to my bee-sting disfigurement
Which won’t last
Any longer than my memory

They seem to love Jesus
But forget He is alive

They must be key
To reaching the city for Jesus
But how can I help them
When I don’t speak their language?

I look for Jesus.

And to my surprise
This time
He comes!

The people are shocked
Into silence

I prostrate myself at His feet
They do too

Some joyful
Some grieving
Some scared
A few angry

But all silent
Submitted
Alone with our thoughts

I am okay with that.

Jesus is here
And obviously alive

I can release
That burden
And rest
