Continued from Parenting

I am… watched.

I had lost Hope
When my hunter-selves did nothing
After my invitation to feed
On Right Whale Jesus

But after three days
I realized
They were still doing nothing

Nothing
Except watching me
To see what I would do
When I have no Hope

I look To Jesus.

I shudder
At the thought
Of what I must do
Again

I lower my not-sheep mouth
And take a bite
Of His Body and Blood

I plunge my not-human hands
Into His cooling corpse
To rip out chunks of bleeding flesh

I descend from the heights
Where I stood on Jesus
Again and again

Passing out bits of Jesus
To all who are watching

I see a young boy-self
Who reminds me of Decade
Watching me
With self-forgetting awe

I invite him
To stand on Jesus
With me

He follows
As if in a trance

I kneel
Show him
How to tear
Into Jesus

He gives me a piece
That passes understanding

The two of us
Raise our pieces

The others
Mirror our actions

Then
Without a word
In perfect unison

We eat Jesus.
