Today’s Most Important Challenge is…

  • Helping weak kings
  • Fight the right battles
  • Without me trying to control them

Yahweh Approach Memo

Continued from

I am… frustrated.

My fragmented hunter-selves
Protected by their orange safety vests
Refuse to come eat the corpse
Of Right Whale Jesus

Why not?

I look to My Father.

He doesn’t say a word
But a memory springs to mind
Of how I was a mindless hunter
Transformed by Hope
At a terrible cost

I look to my selves.

Those pieces of me
Who are what I was

I feel the love of My Father
For me
For them
Through me
To them

And so…

I release Hope.

I cry out
As all the energy leaves my body
And I collapse onto Jesus

But then…

Nothing happens.

Was my sacrifice all in vain?

Reflection

I feel…

  • Exhausted
  • Emptied
  • Broken and poured out
  • Unsure
  • Desperate
  • Compassion
  • Fathered

Scripture

“And your ruined land? Your devastated, decimated land? Filled with more people than you know what to do with! And your barbarian enemies, a fading memory.
The children born in your exile will be saying, ‘It’s getting too crowded here. I need more room.’
And you’ll say to yourself, ‘Where on earth did these children come from? I lost everything, had nothing, was exiled and penniless. So who reared these children? How did these children get here?’”‭‭

Isaiah‬ ‭49‬:‭19‬-‭21‬ ‭MSG‬‬
