Today’s Most Important Challenge is…
- Winning the more important battle
- By trusting in
- Brokenness and Grace
- Rather than
- Power and Law
Immanuel Approach Memo
Continued from 7/7 IAM: Flowing
I am… thirsty.
We all are
That is why we are afraid
And running away
Children, soldiers, officers
Even Pharoah
We didn’t have enough
We feared losing what we had
We could imagine no other way
So we ran
Until we stopped
Then were conveyed
Into the waves of the Red Sea
Then a miracle occurred.
The salt water
That had seemed a curse
A barrier
A threat
Has become fresh
Drinkable
Life-giving
As the moving walkway
Carries us beneath the waves
We gulp it down
Together
Carving out a tunnel
Through the ocean
Our enemies
Whom we hated
Help us
By drinking the water
That stood in our way
I look for Jesus.
I expect Him to be laughing with joy
But though there is a smile on His face
I can tell He is in agony
I see the wounds
In His hands and feet
The hole
In His side
And realize
It is His blood
Pouring out
For all of us
That makes the bitter sweet
And the captives free
But what will happen
If it runs out?
What will happen
When we reach the other side?
Jesus looks to me.
He winks
And I realize
It doesn’t matter
Jesus
Has a plan
Jesus
Though a prisoner
Is still our leader
Jesus
Will never fail
Even if I do
To be concluded
Reflection

Scripture
“Wild beasts, jackals, and owls will glorify me. For I supply streams of water in the desert and rivers in the wilderness to satisfy the thirst of my people, my chosen ones, so that you, whom I have shaped and formed for myself, will proclaim my praise.”
Isaiah 43:20-21 TPT
