We conquer
Not by forcing others
To adopt our point of view
But by inviting them
To honor ours
As we honor theirs
MIC Check
Today’s Most Important Challenge is…
- Letting go
- Of what I never really owned
- So I can receive
- What was mine all along
Immanuel Approach Memo
Concluding 6/4 IAM: Dance-Fighting
I am… snowing.
At least that’s what it looks like
Our broken hearts and hands
The glazed clay of dust and rain
The tsunami that stormed the islands of Man
Everything
Everyone
I ever fought
And for
All I ever was and loved
Feels like ashes on the wind
I look for Jesus.
And then I realize
This is Christmas
Or at least
The Day Before
This is how
God enters the world
Conflict
Plus Reconciliation
Equals Intimacy
If I surf the waves of change
As Jesus surfs me
Then I turn bitter floods
Into streams of living water
So that all of us are caught up
In the joyous cycle
Of breaking
Bonding
Birthing
Burying
We are Jesus.
His Kingdom comes
As we lay down our lives
To love the warring Kingdoms of Man
To death
And beyond
Amen.
Reflection
I feel…
- Complete
- Impotent
- Omnipotent
- Rest
- True
- Blanketed
- Peace
Scripture
“I, Yahweh, will respond to the cry of the poor and needy when they are thirsty and their tongues are parched with thirst! When they seek a drink of water but there is none, I, the God of Israel, will not abandon them.
Isaiah 41:17-20 TPT
I will open up refreshing streams on the barren hills and springing fountains in the valleys. I will make the desert a pleasant pool and the dry land springs of water. I will plant in the treeless desert cedars and acacias, myrtle and olive trees. I will set in the wilderness evergreens, together with many elms and cypresses.
Everyone will see and know that I, Yahweh, with my mighty hands have done this. They will consider and comprehend that the Holy One of Israel has created it.”
