I am… awaiting God’s judgement.

I hold the body of Jesus
Whom I accidentally slew
In the throne room of God

I was one
Of the enemies of God
The others
Stare in shocked silence

I look to My Father.

He smiles
Through His tears
As He looks
At my bloody hands
And whispers

“You are forgiven
By the blood of The Lamb”

I stare at Him
Stunned

He says

“You are forgiven
Under the new covenant
In His Blood”

I crumple to the ground
Weeping

He shouts

“I have forgiven you
In the name of Jesus”

I rend my cloak in agony
And pound the ground in disbelief

“No!”

I scream
It is too much
I cannot bear
This kindness

But then
I receive
The shock of my life
As another voice speaks…
