Radically Happy

As he entered one village, ten men approached him, but they kept their distance, for they were lepers. They shouted to him, “Mighty Lord, our wonderful Master! Won’t you have mercy on us and heal us?”
When Jesus stopped to look at them, he spoke these words: “Go to be examined by the Jewish priests.”
They set off, and they were healed while walking along the way.‭‭

The way to be healed
I’m sorry to say
Means facing our pain
When Christ we obey

For we are all lepers
If not by that name
Cut off from others
By our hidden shame

We know God is good
And cry out for help
But His response
Will cause us to yelp!

Dare we take the step
Of letting them judge
Those who condemned
And still bear a grudge

The very healing
We would receive
Requires proof
We truly believe

But this is the promise
Of our freedom day
Full healing will come
When we walk His Way

Today I will
Lose my grudge
Against those who judge

“I have already judged you clean”
