8/16 Poem: Part-Taker

Published by

Lord my heart longs
To partake of you
To go where you go
And do what you do

Let me be your hands
Your feet and your side

So all may see
That I am your Bride

Let mine be the voice
That comforts the meek
Let mine be the heart
To ask, knock and seek

This world seems a prison
Yet’s really a train
So that my Beloved
I’ll soon see again

So here’s to the waiting
That makes my heart fonder
For taking your part
Is grace I won’t squander

Today I will partake
Of the abundance of God
