2/10 Poem: Righting Time

Standard

Lord, help me bear the tension of being Left

Dear Lord,

I must say I don’t like
The story You’re writing
But maybe that’s because
It’s not yet time for Righting

I can’t bear the tension
Of fussing and fighting
Why must we have conflict
Instead of delighting?

Maybe the payoff
Is just past my sighting
Have I forgotten
It’s me that You’re knighting?

Lord, grant me the courage
To face terrors biting
Til I learn that Time
Is just what You’re Righting
