2/6 Poem: Face-Seeking Missile

Published by

Father hurl me from your bow
From heaven unto earth below
Like Jesus, the Son whom You love
Was sent down from heaven above

What earthly prize did He hope to gain
That’s worth the cost of so much pain
How dare He claim heavenly gloss
On such an unspeakable loss

Yet this is the truth I must bide
I must make the very same ride
And feel the incredible worth
To see and be God’s face on earth
