Lent has always been a time for the followers of Jesus to reflect and prepare for remembering Christ’s death and resurrection. This year, in light of everything that has happened over the last twelve months, I would like to take that to the next level.

My dream for Lent and Holy Week (Feb 15 to April 6) is to host an online group devotional where every week we publicly model how to vulnerably encounter Jesus via His Word & Spirit, Body & Blood.

Out of all the problems facing our world (and the church), I am more convinced than ever that what we really need is growing closer Jesus (in love, likeness, and living out His Kingdom). I want us all to experience the deep transforming love of Jesus, so that we love God with ALL our heart, soul, mind & heart; and our neighbor as ourself.

As a first step, I am hosting a Design Summit via Zoom on Saturday, February 6th from 9am to 11am (US Pacific Time). Much of it will be spent testing and revising a prototype of Discipling by Jesus, working from John 14 (or possibly Matthew 25). We also need to finalize the schedule, content, invitation, and pricing (if any) for the weekly devotional.
